Lifting Lives Terms and Conditions

Membership Eligibility Membership is open to individuals who share a commitment to humanitarian values and community development. Applicants must agree to support Lifting Lives’ mission and adhere to its values of integrity, respect, and inclusivity. Acceptance is at the discretion of the NGO’s management. Membership Fees Lifting Lives does not charge mandatory membership fees for volunteers or supporters. However, specific programs, events, or training sessions may involve nominal fees to cover operational costs. Fee details will be provided in advance. Non-payment may limit access to certain programs. Code of Conduct All members, volunteers, and staff must maintain a respectful, ethical, and inclusive approach while representing Lifting Lives. Any form of discrimination, harassment, or abusive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate suspension or termination of involvement. Use of NGO Resources Resources such as vehicles, training materials, or supplies provided by Lifting Lives must be used responsibly and solely for program-related activities. Damage or loss caused by negligence may result in a penalty or revocation of resource privileges. Liability Waiver Participation in any program, field activity, or event organized by Lifting Lives is voluntary and at the participant’s own risk. The NGO is not liable for any injuries, illnesses, or loss/damage to personal property during participation. Media & Image Rights By participating in Lifting Lives’ programs or events, members consent to the use of photographs or videos taken during activities for the NGO’s promotional and reporting purposes. Those who do not wish to be photographed must inform the organizers in advance. Consent for Working with Vulnerable Groups Volunteers interacting with children, elderly individuals, or other vulnerable populations must undergo appropriate training and background checks as applicable. Respect for privacy, dignity, and consent is mandatory at all times. Volunteer Commitment and Conduct Volunteers are expected to adhere to their agreed schedules, complete assigned tasks responsibly, and communicate any changes in availability. Unreliable or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the volunteer program. Plagiarism and Misrepresentation All materials, reports, and content submitted by members or volunteers must be original. Plagiarizing or misrepresenting information will be taken seriously and may result in dismissal or legal action. Workshop and Event Participation Registration may be required for training, workshops, or outreach programs. Participants are expected to attend punctually, engage respectfully, and comply with all safety and conduct guidelines. Child Safety and Protection Policy Lifting Lives follows strict child protection protocols. Physical, emotional, or verbal abuse will result in immediate expulsion and may be reported to authorities. Volunteers must never be alone with a child unless authorized and trained to do so. Data Privacy and Confidentiality Personal information collected from members, donors, or beneficiaries will be kept confidential and used solely for administrative and communication purposes. Lifting Lives adheres to relevant data protection regulations. Social Media and Public Communication Members are encouraged to promote Lifting Lives positively. However, posting offensive, misleading, or unauthorized content about the NGO or its beneficiaries is strictly prohibited and may lead to disciplinary action. Digital Communication and Platforms Online groups, email chains, or platforms used for Lifting Lives communication must be used professionally. Misuse, spam, or harassment on these platforms may result in removal from the communication channels. Decision-Making and Governance Active members and long-term volunteers may be invited to participate in feedback forums, advisory roles, or voting on program decisions. Final authority on decisions lies with the governing board or authorized program heads. Volunteer Recognition and Roles Volunteers who demonstrate commitment and leadership may be offered key roles or recognition within the organization. Selection is based on conduct, consistency, and alignment with Lifting Lives’ mission. Disciplinary Action and Dismissal Violations of these terms, ethical misconduct, or behavior that undermines Lifting Lives’ mission will be investigated and may result in a formal warning, suspension, or permanent removal from the organization. Refund Policy Payments made toward workshops, events, or fundraising activities are generally non-refundable. Exceptions may be made in cases of cancellations initiated by Lifting Lives or documented emergencies.
